Riding Lawn Mower cuts on for about 15 seconds then it...?

My riding lawn mover cuts on and ides for all of about 10 seconds then it dies...it starts right back up and does the same thing....after I crank it up and riv it up between the choke and a fast speed it seems to do fine and doesn't cut off after the engine is good and hot.....any ideas???Carb was cleaned not to long ago....
