Do animals menstruate? If it's the same fertilization method shouldn't they?

Some do and some don't. Fertilization method isn't what determines it though. Menstruation is the sloughing of the uterine lining that was preparing for potential implantation of a zygote. If an animal doesn't go through the preparation process there's nothing to excrete, and not all animals go through this process.
